Q There are two courses that I would like to study but I am not sure which course to choose. What should I do?
A You should apply for all the courses that you would like to study. You can discuss each course further with the course tutor at the interview stage or beforehand by contacting the course leader directly.

Q What subjects do I need to take to get onto a HNC or HND ?
A Refer to the entry requirements for that particular course. If you are in any doubt, telephone the contacts under the 'course leader' section of the course details.

Q I need two Highers to do the HNC that I want to do, but I didn’t do Highers at school. Is there any other way I can gain entry to the course?
A Yes, there are two possible ways you can gain entry to the HNC. One option is to take the Highers that you require for the course, by studying full time or part time, and apply for the HNC once you successfully gain the Highers required. Alternatively, you should be able to apply for a NC level course in the same discipline which will offer entry to the HNC once you successfully complete it.

Q I am a mature student over 21) and I have chosen a course that I would like to do. It has been years since I was at school and I have not done any other studying since then. Will I be able to join the course?
A Candidates over 21 with relevant experience may be admitted after interview without the normal entry requirements at the discretion of the Principal.

Q I am currently receiving job seekers allowance benefit but I would like to study full time will this affect my benefit?
A You will lose your benefit if you study full time, however you will be able to study on a part time basis and keep your benefit.

Q I am in receipt of benefits, do I have to pay a fee?
A If you are receiving a means tested benefit then you may be eligible to have your fee waived if you attend college for a maximum of 15 hours (plus 5 hours study). Evidence of benefit is required.
