Library kiosk

kiosk The kiosk is located at the top of the stairs just outside the Library.

You will need to have created a username and password already to make a booking here.

Our 32 long-stay PCs are numbered - there is a plan of where each PC is located on the wall behind the kiosk.

Making a PC booking using MyPC

PC booking is self-service, except where a student has to login to create their password, and we strongly advise you to make PC bookings in advance wherever possible in order to avoid disappointment.

Bookings can be made online or by using the kiosk shown above. Both methods use the same booking system.

Login using your username (the student reference number from your ID card) and your personal password. Passwords are case-sensitive, so please check the CAPS Lock button is on or off as required.
You'll now see the list of PCs represented by horizontal rows. The PC's number is at the left side of the screen. The time is shown across the top of the screen above the PC rows.
You can use any block of white space - PCs with red or blue blocks in their row are reserved or in use at those times.
To make a booking, click in a white box at the required time.
A pop-up window appears - you can then choose your finish time.
Click save when you are happy with the times, and wait for the page to refresh.
Check to see that your booking is now shown as a peach coloured block to ensure that your booking has been successful.
Note down the number of the booked PC, and remember to log out by clicking on the red cross at the top-right of the page when you have finished.
You can now log in to your chosen PC at the time booked.
