International Study

Nationals of member states of the European Union (excluding England, Wales and Northern Ireland) studying in the college, who have been resident within the EU for the preceding 3 years are entitled to have their tuition fees paid by the Scottish Funding Council.
If you have not been ordinarily resident in the British Isles or the European Union during the 3 years immediately preceding the beginning of your course, you will normally be regarded as a student from a country outside the EU.
Students from countries outside the EU are required to pay full time course fees as follows:

Fees 2009-2010  
English Language / Highers / NQ/ NC £4500
HNC/HND £5000

The International Office gives advice about preparing for coming to the UK, including visa issues where relevant, helping to find accommodation here, opening a bank account and other matters connected with settling in to study in a new country.
If you are offered a place on a course a refundable deposit of £2000.00 is required before the offer letter can be sent. If you do not get a visa, please send proof of this and the deposit will be refunded, less an administrative charge of £200.00.

Commonwealth Scholarship
The college offers two scholarships per year to citizens of the Commonwealth which pays 50% of the fees.

Help with Language
If you require help with English whilst studying other subjects, please discuss this with the International Officer who can arrange this with our English for Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL) department.
