With three large Universities, Schools of Art, Music and Drama and a wide range of colleges, the city has a huge student population drawn from all over the world. As a result, it is very much a young person’s city.

Studying at Anniesland College

Anniesland College is located in Glasgow’s West End, 3 miles from the City Centre and 9 miles from Glasgow International Airport. Glasgow is 40 miles to the west of Edinburgh and 400 miles to the north of London. The college has excellent public transport links with major rail and bus routes within two minutes walk of the main campus.

We are delighted that people from over 70 countries choose to study at Anniesland College. Anniesland College offers International students excellent opportunities to study English Language (ESOL) and is accredited by the British Council. The college also offers the opportunity to gain qualifications awarded by the Scottish Qualifications Authority (SQA) in other subject areas.

Courses usually run from August to June and lead to:

SQA Highers
National Certificate (NC) (only those at SCQF Level 6)
Higher National Certificate (HNC)
Higher National Diploma (HND)

Many of our students progress to further study at UK universities.

International Office

The college has an International Officer who can give you advice about preparing to come to the UK to study, including advice on visa issues where relevant, finding accommodation, opening a bank account and other issues related to helping you settle into a new country.

The college is registered as a sponsor with the UKBA.
