Getting to Anniesland College

Anniesland College is in the West End of Glasgow, 3 miles from Glasgow city centre and is easy to reach. The college is situated just behind Great Western Road (A82) and is close to the Clyde Tunnel. The college has excellent public transport links. Anniesland and Jordanhill train stations are both close by and frequent bus routes also pass along Great Western Road close to the college.

By train

Anniesland College is 4 minutes walk from Anniesland Station and 5 minutes walk from Jordanhill Station.

Travelling from Glasgow Queen St. (low level) or Glasgow Central (low level) take trains for Balloch, Dalmuir, Milngavie or Helensburgh, via ‘Singer’ for Anniesland Station or via ‘Yoker’ for Jordanhill Station.

You can also travel to Anniesland Station from Glasgow Queen St. (high level).

By bus

Bus stops can be found on Great Western Road 150m from the College and on Crow Road 450m from the College. The following buses can be used to reach the college: Numbers 11, 16 (to Crow Rd), 20, 66, 84 and 118.

By car

Parking at Anniesland College will be severely limited to on street parking until January 2010, however there are 6 designated disabled parking spaces. You are advised to use public transport to reach Anniesland College until this point.

Travelling from Glasgow city centre, follow signs for the A82 and head west along Great Western Road. You will pass Gartnavel Hospital on the left hand side, take the next left onto Whittinghame Drive and then take the next right onto Hatfield Drive. The college is situated at the crest of the hill, on the left hand side.

Travelling from the Clyde Tunnel, travel towards Anniesland Cross, keeping to the left hand lane. Approaching Anniesland Cross, take the exit on the left marked Kelvinside and follow the road round to the right, ensuring that you drive towards the far set of traffic lights, signposted Kelvinside. Drive straight on and under the Anniesland Train Station railway bridge. Turn right at the traffic lights onto Fifth Avenue. Follow the road to the left and onto Hatfield Drive. You will see Anniesland College on the right hand side.
