Care and Administrative Practice (HNC)
This course is designed to provide students with the knowledge, understanding and vocational skills to prepare them for undergraduate degree programmes in health or to qualify them to work at Senior Health Care Support Worker level in a care or hospital setting.
This course includes 2 days placement per week October - May.
Entry requirements
- Higher Care, or Intermediate 2 Health or Social Care at A or B pass, or any other relevant NC with a recommendation from the Course tutor.
- 2 Highers or equivalent, one of which must be English, plus an interview.
- Candidates must have at least 120 hours of relevant care experience.
- Mature students may be admitted without formal qualifications.
- PVG Disclosure is essential as work experience opportunities are part of the course. Anniesland College will pay for this.

Further Study
Students can progress to degrees in Nursing and Allied Professions and health related areas at a range of universities.
As this is a qualification that is recognised by the NHS, successful candidates will be qualified to work at Senior Health Care Support Worker level.
