Board of Management

The College’s Board of Management is responsible for all aspects of corporate governance of the College. It determines the strategic direction of the college, regularly monitors and guides on strategic matters, and oversees all college activities.

The Board is comprised of between 10 and 15 members. This includes the College Principal, two elected staff members and an elected student member. The Board seeks to ensure that its members reflect a wide range of educational and business experience.

In pursuit of their overall objectives the Board ensure compliance with relevant memoranda as laid down by the Scottish Funding Council. Board members complete a register of interests which is placed on the college website.

Board members’ duties are set out within the Further & Higher Education (Scotland) Act 1992 and the Further and Higher Education (Scotland) Act 2005.

The full Board of Management meets five times per annum, including a week-end residential. Members sit on at least one working Committee. The Committees meet between three and six times per annum.
