Treasure Trove Nursery

Our college Nursery has capacity for 60 children:Nursery
15 places for 0-2 year olds, 15 places for 2-3 year olds and 30 places for 3-5 year olds.

Places are also available to children of non-students. 

Staff of Treasure Trove Nursery aim to provide a curriculum for children aged 3-5 by following the Scottish Office guideline 'A curriculum framework for children 3-5' planning notes in conjunction with Glasgow City Council.

We aim to provide a broad and balanced curriculum which focuses on each child's age and stage of development. At all times children are stimulated to reach their full potential in all areas of cognitive, social, language, emotional and physical development through the 5 key areas of the curriculum.

General Information

All Day: 8.30am-5.00pm
Morning Session: 8.30am-12.30pm
Afternoon Session: 1.30pm-5.00pm

  • Your co-operation with time keeping is important. Please make every effort to have your child arrive on time and arrange to collect your child on time.
  • You must inform us if you are unable to collect your child and have asked someone else to do it for you.
  • The nursery is a no smoking building.
  • Please do not give your child sweets to bring to nursery.
  • Please do not allow children to bring their own toys into the nursery.
  • Medication will only be given if prescribed by a doctor. (Please see supervisor regarding this matter if you have a baby in the nursery).

Accidents

All accidents will be reported verbally to the parents concerned. Major accidents will be recorded in the accident book which is kept in the office.

First Aid

The first aid kit is located in the main office and a smaller one in each room. Designated college first aiders will be used if required. 

Fire

Our procedure is clearly displayed on the notice board detailing all exits. It should be your main priority to exit the building in the event of a fire.

Admission Guidelines

Parents/Carers are expected to attend settling-in time with their child until they feel safe and secure in their new environment. The child's birth certificate will be required as proof of age. The Nursery Manager/Supervisor will inform parents of all aspects of the service offered. Individual needs will be discussed. This may include allergies, medication, special dietary requirements. Confidentiality will be adhered to in all aspects regarding this document.
