Facilities

We are proud of our new building and have invested heavily in resources to ensure that the environment you learn in is specially tailored to your course. This commitment is designed to help you get the most out of your studies. Using Smartboards

SMARTboards are fitted in many classrooms.
Computer suites run up-to-date, industry standard software including Microsoft Office, Oracle, CISCO, AutoCAD and SAGE Accounts.
Workshops have specialist machinery for Building, Fabrication, Welding, Motor Vehicle Engineering, CNC Turning, Mechanical and Electrical Engineering.
We have well-equipped studios for Dance, Personal Fitness and Sound Production.

We invest in our staff to ensure that they are a highly trained team of specialists who can help you to acquire the skills that you need.

The Library

Library 3 The Library is light and spacious and is a great place to study. It is for all students and staff of Anniesland College, whether full time, part time, evening or day release. You will find the Library on the ground floor.

All you need to borrow or book any of the resources is your student ID card. Staff will help you find and use the plentiful resources available to support your study. You can also find out about flexible learning courses in the Library. Visit the library pages to find out more.

Books, journals, CDs, DVDs, cassettes and newspapers to consult or borrow.
PC suite with wireless internet access, printers, scanners and photocopiers.
Access to audio visual equipment including CD, Video and DVD players. A satellite system is also available which provides access to programmes from around the world.

Virtual Learning Environment (VLE)

The VLE is an online resource which has been designed to allow you to access materials for course work and to submit course assignments. Your tutor will provide you with a username and password.

Multi-Gym and Games Hall

The new college Multi-Gym is open to all students every lunch time. The new Games Hall has four Badminton courts as well as basketball, netball and five-a-side football facilities. There is even a full indoor tennis court. Various lunch time and after hours events are available for students and staff alike.

Multi Faith Room

Our Multi Faith Room is situated on the second floor. Further information can be found in Learner Services.

First Aid

We have a fully equipped First Aid room on the ground floor. If you need any First Aid, please ask at Reception. If you require any medication on a permanent basis or if you have special requirements e.g. a nut allergy, it is important that you let the Learner Services Manager know.

Refectory

The new refectory, called The Space, seats more than two hundred people and offers a range of hot and cold meals, with options available to suit those with dietary requirements.

Training Restaurant

This restaurant is open to the public and offers fine dining, produced by our Hospitality students, at very reasonable prices. The restaurant is open for lunch at selected times of the year. You must book in advance on 0141 357 6088.

Vending Machines

Vending machines are available in break out spaces on each floor.

Car Parking

As part of our green travel plan, we strongly encourage staff and students to use public transport to reach the college, but our car park can accommodate two hundred vehicles. There are eleven disabled bays.
